The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects
wanted for questioning related to the passing of counterfeit currency.
On January 18, 2013, the male suspect entered the Kohl’s Store, located at 9400 Rosedale Highway and
paid with counterfeit currency. The next day, the male suspect, depicted in the attached video
surveillance photograph, went back to the store and returned the merchandise he purchased the day
before for a monetary refund. The male suspect was accompanied by a female suspect when a second
purchase was made with counterfeit currency. The female suspect, depicted in the attached video
surveillance photograph, also tried to make a purchase using counterfeit currency; however, was
unsuccessful. Both suspects fled the business.
On January 27, 2013, the male suspect entered the Kohl’s Store, located at 5385 Gosford Road and
made another purchase using counterfeit currency. The suspect fled the store after the transaction was
complete.
The male suspect is described as Hispanic, in his middle 30’s, 6’00” tall, 220 lbs., with a light complexion,
with a goatee, wearing a white baseball hat, a long sleeve shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, dark blue
jeans and black boots.
The female suspect is described as White, in her early 30’s, 5’04” tall, 160 lbs., with a medium build and a
light complexion, with brown wavy shoulder length hair, wearing a black shirt, black sweater and blue
jeans.
