The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division would like to invite the
community to a FREE microchip clinic for your pets.
On Saturday, March 23, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., the City of
Bakersfield Animal Control Division will be offering FREE microchips for
currently licensed dogs, living within the city limits. Come check out our Easter
event at Tractor Supply, located at 2749 Calloway Drive.
The city’s microchip program is an effort focused on reducing the number of
impounded animals entering the shelter system. This form of permanent
identification is quickly becoming the preferred method of owner identification.
