For Immediate Release March 25, 2013
On Monday, March 25, 2013, the victim of the gunshot wound succumbed to his
injuries at the scene.
The identification of the victim will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s
Office.
The investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, March 25, 2013, at approximately 12:03 a.m., Bakersfield Police
Officers responded to the 8000 block of Quest Street for a report of shots heard
in the area. Officers arrived and located a male suffering from an apparent
gunshot wound. The victim sustained major injuries.
Detectives are continuing to follow up on leads as to the identification of suspects
or a motive behind the shooting.
