The suspect vehicle, depicted in the attached video surveillance photograph, is described as a green 1990s model two-door Toyota Tercel or similar vehicle. The vehicle may be missing the front passenger hubcap. The suspect is possibly a male, with other subjects also in the vehicle. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111 or Senior Officer Jeff Paglia at (661) 326-3960. Previous Release April 2, 2013 On Tuesday, April 02, 2013 at 5:12 p.m., Officers of the Bakersfield Police Department responded to a hit and run collision on Haley Street near Pacific Street. Officers discovered that a vehicle (described as 1990’s model a green or light blue, four-door compact) struck a three year old boy who was walking on Haley Street. The vehicle did not stop, but continued northbound Haley Street, and was last seen turning eastbound on Flower Street. The juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital by private means prior to officers arriving on scene. He suffered a broken leg and abrasions, but his injuries are not life threatening. This investigation is on-going.
