For Immediate Release April 16, 2013
On April 16, 2013, at approximately 2:03 p.m., the Bakersfield Police Department
received a call of a bank robbery alarm at the Citizens Business Bank, located at 9100
Ming Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers learned two suspects entered the bank, approached the teller
window and aggressively demanded currency. The teller complied with the demands,
and the suspects fled the business with the currency in a westbound direction, possibly
in a vehicle.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his early 20s, 5'07" tall, 160 lbs.,
with a medium build and brown eyes. The suspect was last seen wearing a red
bandana across the lower part of his face, black pullover hooded sweatshirt, black
shorts with a white vertical stripe down each side and white and black shoes. The
suspect was possibly armed with a firearm.
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his early 20s, 5'07" tall, 160
lbs., with a medium build and brown eyes. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue
bandana, across the lower part of his face and a black pullover hooded sweatshirt.
