For Immediate Release May 21, 2013
On May 20, 2013, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Bakersfield Police
Department Officers received information that Kelly William Gill, a reported
missing person, had been the victim of a homicide. Officers were notified
his body had been hidden inside a residence in the 2300 block of Castro
Lane. When officers responded to the location, a subsequent search was
conducted. Gill was located inside the residence, obviously deceased.
The investigation led to the arrest of the victim’s roommate, Theron Dale
Ausbie, 18, of Bakersfield for robbery and homicide.
The investigation is continuing.
