The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect, pictured
in the attached computer generated composite, wanted for an attempted kidnapping and annoying a child
that occurred on June 1, 2013, at approximately 2:50 p.m. in the 4800 block of Baybrook Way.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is urged to contact the Bakersfield Police
Department at (661) 327-7111 or Detective Gary Carruesco at (661) 326-3544.

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for
attempted kidnapping and annoying a child.
On June 1, 2013 at approximately 2:50 p.m., a female juvenile was riding her bicycle eastbound in the 4800
block of Baybrook Way when she noticed a vehicle following her. As the vehicle approached her, the
suspect asked her to climb in the vehicle and go for a ride. The suspect reached out the driver’s side
window and attempted to grab the victim’s hand. As the victim rode faster to flee, the suspect also sped up,
still attempting to grab her hand. The victim was able to hide from the suspect, at which point the suspect
fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his 20s, with a stocky build and short brown spiked
hair. He was last seen wearing a light brown t-shirt.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark, navy blue, older model, four door vehicle with scratches on the
driver’s side door.
