The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance and
witnesses to come forward to provide information related to a shooting that occurred
this afternoon.
On Friday, June 7, 2013, at 3:05 p.m., the Bakersfield Police Department received a call
of a shooting at 8th Street and V Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they located numerous spent casings near 8th Street
and V Street.
The victim, an adult male, was transported by private means to a local hospital with
moderate to major injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
