The Bakersfield Police Department arrested a suspect for robbery.
On June 18, 2013, at 11:52 a.m., Bakersfield Police received a call of an
armed robbery that had just occurred at Jay’s Market, located at 1605
South H Street. When officers arrived, they learned the suspect entered
the business armed with a firearm and demanded currency. The employee
complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect fled with the money
southbound on foot.
No one was injured during the crime.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2013, the Robbery Detail’s investigation led to
the arrest of Robert Dexter Reese, 20, for armed robbery.
