The Bakersfield Police Department has made an arrest for assault with a deadly
weapon, with the victim being a juvenile.
Today, July 1, 2013, Kyla Labat turned herself in at the Bakersfield Police Department
Headquarters, located at 1601 Truxtun Avenue. Labat was arrested and subsequently
booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call the Bakersfield Police

The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in locating
a suspect wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.
On June 27, 2013, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Bakersfield Police Officers were
dispatched to the intersection of Clifton Street and Texas Street regarding a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they located a female juvenile suffering from stab wounds. The
victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation led to the identification of the suspect, Kyla Labat, 27, of Bakersfield.
Labat is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.
