The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s
assistance in locating a suspect wanted for kidnapping and
assault.
On July 4, 2013, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a subject was
walking her dogs in the 8200 block Camino Media when the
suspect grabbed her around the waist from behind. The victim
was able to defend herself and escaped the suspect’s grasp. The
suspect yelled and fled on foot. No vehicle was seen. The victim
was uninjured.
The suspect is described as an unknown race male, 6'00” tall,
with a medium build, and gray hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information regarding this incident or suspect is
urged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at
