For Immediate Release July 18, 2013
Today, at approximately 4:17 p.m., Bakersfield Police
received a call of a traffic collision at the intersection of
Oak Street and Chester Lane.
When officers arrived, they learned the driver of the Ford
truck struck the pedestrian at the intersection.
The male pedestrian was deceased at the scene.
The driver is cooperating with officers in the investigation.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this
collision.
