The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in
identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting and armed robbery that
occurred yesterday.
The suspect, depicted in the attached video surveillance photograph, is
described as a Black female, 20s, 5’02” to 5’03” tall, 150 lbs., with black hair
pulled into a bun.
Anyone with information regarding her identification and whereabouts is urged to

The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in locating
a suspect wanted for a double homicide and armed robbery in connection with a
shooting that occurred at First Reliable on July 17, 2013.
The investigation revealed the motive for the shooting was robbery. One suspect has
been identified as Aaron Patrick Burris, 32, of Bakersfield. A $2 million Ramey Warrant
was obtained for Burris, pictured in the attached photograph.

The second suspect, depicted in the attached photograph, is described as a Black
female, 20s, 5’02” to 5’03” tall, 150 lbs., with a light complexion and black hair pulled
into a bun.
The investigation led Bakersfield Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics
(SWAT) Team to the 10000 block of Valley Forest Court and the 1300 Block of Schull
Court, where investigators conducted a search and collected evidence related to the
crimes.
Burris was not located and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Today at approximately 9:49 a.m., Bakersfield Police received a call of a possible
shooting at First Reliable, a medical marijuana collective, located at 217 Chester
Avenue. When officers were responding, they were notified of a possible victim of a
gunshot.
When officers arrived on scene, they located two deceased victims inside the business.
The suspect vehicle is described as a possible dark colored Sports Utility Vehicle, with a
possible Black male driver and a female passenger. The vehicle was seen fleeing the
area at a high rate of speed.
The investigation is continuing.
