Rob Nelson's home that was approved in December 2015 for yard of the Quarter will be recognized by Mayor Hall at the City Council meeting February 10, 2016. At that time the gift from Floyd's will be given. . Stephen will contact Jessica to see if she has the signs for the yard of the month /quarter. . Stephen will be attending next week's Kern Native Plant Society to discuss our project to see if we could work together and if they could help with suggestions in the future for yard of the month. . Stephen had sent an e-mail of a couple of leads from the Kern Native Plant Society that Amy will follow up with. The yard Amy suggested for the yard of the month was sustainable, but needed work. Therefore Amy will follow up with the two leads and have by this week for approval at the KBB Board on Feb. 12, 2016. Also Amber Beeson has some potential leads of yards she worked on last year and will send for review. • Electrical Boxes..... Ideas for areas and future projects: . Old Town Kern — Jennifer Pitcher — suggested Basque Chester Avenue — repaint faded murals — need theme (didn't have first go around) maybe Don Martin's new group or Arts Council of Kern will take the lead) . Stephen said Mayor Hall interested in electrical boxes that are off the freeway (that is usually tagged with graffiti) will follow up with KBB. . Electrical Boxes by the Auto Mall — could be a themed type of cars for area And car dealers could sponsor. . Scavenger Hunt, Amy will check with the Bakersfield Board of Realtors to see if there Is an interest in exploring.
