The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Mike Strong at 8:00 a.m.

Mr. Vetter made a motion to approve the minutes of the special meeting of
07/13/16; seconded by Mr. Anderson. The motion was carried unanimously.

B. Nepotism Waiver Request from Police Community Relations
Specialist Kelsey Taylor and Police Service Technician Nickolas
Brackett
Maria Mojica submitted a nepotism waiver request for Community
Relations Specialist Kelsey Taylor and Police Service Technician
Nickolas Brackett to live under the same household. The request was
reviewed and recommended by Assistant Chief Martin,
Mr. Anderson made a motion to approve the nepotism waiver request,
seconded by Mr. Vetter. The motion was carried unanimously.
C. Request to Extend Eligible List for Police Service Technician,
Examination #00849
Maria Mojica advised Human Resources received a request from the
Police Department to extend the current Police Service Technician
Eligible List, Examination #00849, to February 5, 2016. The list is
scheduled to expire August 5, 2016. There are 15 candidates remaining
on the eligible list.
Mr. Vetter made a motion to extend the current Police Service
Technician Eligible List, Examination #00849 to February 5, 2016;
seconded by Mr. Anderson. The motion was carried unanimously.
D. Certification of Police Officer Academy Graduate /Lateral Eligibility
List, Examination #00894
Caryn Claiborne submitted an eligibility list of five candidates to the
Commission for certification. Human Resources thanked the Police
Training staff for their assistance throughout the recruitment. Twenty -
one applicants were invited to the physical agility examination, nine
attended and were invited to the oral examination and five passed.
Mr. Anderson made a motion to certify the Police Officer Academy
Graduate /Lateral Eligibility List, Examination #00894; seconded by Mr.
Strong. The motion was carried unanimously.
E. Nepotism Waiver Request for Police Officer Academy
Graduate /Lateral Candidates

Caryn Claiborne submitted a nepotism waiver request for Police
Academy Graduate /Lateral Candidate Warren Martin. The nepotism
ruling report was reviewed and recommended by Chief Greg Williamson.
Mr. Anderson made a motion to approve the nepotism waiver request for
Warren Martin, seconded by Mr. Vetter. The motion was carried
unanimously.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:06 a.m.
