CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mr. Lucas at 8:00 a.m.. 2. PUBLIC STATEMENTS None 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Mr. Payne, seconded by Mr. Lucas and carried unanimously to approve minutes of September 4, 2019. 5. NEW BUSINESS 1 ACTION TAKEN APPROVED 1 54 a. CERTIFICATION OF SENIOR POLICE OFFICER ELIGIBILITY LIST, EXAMINATION #01204 - Tracy Sunkes submitted Senior Police Officer Eligibility List #01204, to the Commission for review and approval for certification of 10 candidates. She advised that the highest test score was 97.3% and the lowest was 92.07%. Mr. Anderson made a motion to approve Senior Police Officer Eligibility List #01204; the motion was seconded by Mr. Payne and carried unanimously. b. NEPOTISM WAIVER REQUEST FOR SENIOR POLICE OFFICER CANDIDATES -Tracy Sunkes advised that as a result of the Senior Police Officer Eligibility List #01204, she is submitting two Nepotism Waiver Requests to the Commission for review and approval for Felipe Sanchez and Marc Lugo. She advised the Nepotism Waiver Requests were reviewed by Chief Lyle Martin and he recommends approval. Mr. Anderson made a motion to approve the nepotism waivers for Senior Police Officer candidates Felipe Sanchez and Marc Lugo; the motion was seconded by Mr. Payne and carried unanimously. C. CERTIFICATION OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS SPECIALIST, ELIGIBILITY LIST #01274 - Isabel Farmer submitted Community Relations Specialist Eligibility List, Examination #01274, to the Commission for review and approval for certification of 11 candidates. She advised the Commission that 17 applications were accepted and there is one opening. Mr. Payne made a motion to approve Community Relations Specialist Eligibility List, Examination #01274; the motion was seconded by Mr. Anderson and carried unanimously. d. NEPOTISM WAIVER REQUEST FOR COMMUNITY RELATIONS SPECIALIST CANDIDATE(S) - Isabel Farmer advised that as a result of the Community Relations Specialist Eligibility List, she is submitting 1 Nepotism Waiver Request to the Commission for review and approval for Martha Balandran. She advised the Nepotism Waiver Request was reviewed by Assistant Chief Greg Terry and he recommends approval. Mr. Anderson made a motion to approve the nepotism waiver for Community Relations Specialist candidate Martha Balandran; the motion was seconded by Mr. Payne and carried unanimously. 6.
