The meeting was called to order by Mr. Lucas at 8:01 a.m.

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Mr. Lucas, seconded by Ms. Thompson and carried
unanimously to approve minutes for Special Meeting of January 15, 2020.

a. CERTIFICATION OF POLICE TRAINEE ELIGIBILITY LIST, EXAMINATION #01282- Isabel
Farmer submitted Police Trainee Eligibility List -#01282; to the Commission for
review and approval for certification of 72 candidates. She advised there were
17 ties on the eligibility list. Mr. Lucas made a motion to approve Police Trainee
Eligibility List #01282; the motion was seconded by Ms. Thompson and carried
unanimously.
b. NEPOTISM WAIVER REQUEST FOR POLICE TRAINEE CANDIDATE(S) - Isabel Farmer
advised that as a result of the Police Trainee Eligibility List, she is submitting six
Nepotism Waiver Requests to the Commission for review and approval for Riley.
Ludeke, Kayla Maddon, Scott Mann, David Peters-Gremling, Irvin Robles and
Patrick Tramel. Isabel Farmer advised the Nepotism Waiver Requests were
reviewed by Interim Chief of Police Greg Terry. and he recommends approval.
Mr. Lucas made a motion to approve the Nepotism Waivers for Police Trainees;
the motion was seconded by Ms. Thompson and carried unanimously.
C. CERTIFICATION OF POLICE COMPUTER FORENSIC EXAMINER, EXAMINATION
#01291 - Isabel Farmer submitted Police Computer Forensic Examiner, Eligibility
List #01291, to the Commission for review and approval for certification of two
candidates. Mr. Lucas made a motion to approve Police Computer Forensic
Examiner,'Eligibility List #01291; the motion was seconded by Ms. Thompson and
carried unanimously.
6: COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
Mr. Anderson asked for an update regarding the process for appointment of the new
Chief of Police. Christi Tenter advised she and her staff are preparing to bring the
Police Chief Recruitment process before the Commission in a Special Meeting at the
end of the month. At that time they will review the historical aspects of the
examination process. Christi Tenter said it is anticipated that the newly appointed City
manager, Christian Clegg, who starts on March 2nd will make the final appointment
from the fop three candidates recommended by the Commission.
7. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:13 a.m.
