CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mr. Lucas at 8:07 a.m. 2. ROLL CALL Commissioners Present. Kelly Lucas -Chair Steve Anderson -Secretary Kathleen Thompson Staff Present. Greg Terry, Police Chief Mike Hale, Assistant Police Chief Bobby Woolard, Police Captain Jeremy Grimes, Police Captain Robert Pair, Police Sergeant Santiago Baltazar, Police Sergeant Ashley Zambrano, Deputy City Attorney Elizabeth Villanueva, Associate City Attorney Shayla Woods -Collins, Human Resources Manager Asia Wofford, Human Resources Analyst Julie Houselog, Human Resources Clerk 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to approve the minutes for the Regular Meeting of May 4, 2022. APPROVED, ALL AYES 5. NEW BUSINESS A. Certification of Senior Police Records Clerk, Examination #01726 After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to approve staff recommendation and approve the Certification of Senior Police Records Clerk, Examination #01726. APPROVED, ALL AYES $ApflL(C B. Certification of Communications Coordinator -Police, Examination #01722 After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Anderson to approve staff recommendation and approve the Certification of Communications Coordinator -Police, Examination #01722. APPROVED, ALL AYES C. Reinstatement Request for Police Officer Brandon Price After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to approve staff recommendation and approve the Reinstatement Request for Police Officer Brandon Price, Examination. APPROVED, ALL AYES D. Nepotism Waiver Request for Police Property and Equipment Specialist Denise Perez -Fernandez and Police Officer Aldair Duenas After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to approve staff recommendation and approve the Nepotism Waiver Request for Police Property and Equipment Specialist Denise Perez -Fernandez and Police Officer Aldair Duenas. APPROVED, ALL AYES E. Reclassification of Business Manager to Fiscal & Administrative Service Manager After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Anderson to approve staff recommendation and approve the Reclassification of Business Manager to Fiscal & Administrative Service Manager. APPROVED, TWO AYES (Thompson, Anderson), ONE NAY (Lucas) 6. DEFERRED BUSINESS A. Consideration and Adoption of Proposed Amendments to Police Civil Service Rules 8 and 9 After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Anderson to approve staff recommendation and approve the Proposed Amendments to Police Civil Service Rules 8 and 9. APPROVED, ALL AYES 7. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS Commissioner Thompson thanked Staff for their efforts amending Police Civil Service Rules #8 and #9. 8. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by Commissioner Lucas at 9:02 a.m.
