Present: Chair Ortiz, Vice -Chair Campbell, Committee Members Dewey,
Abernathy, Koman, Rojas -Mora, and Prince
Absent: Committee Members Perez-Andreesen and Madland
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS

Eddie Laine made comments and provided written materials.
3. ADOPTION OF MINUTES
a. Adoption of Minutes from the April 13, 2023, Oversight Committee
Meeting.
Motion by Vice -Chair Campbell, second by Committee Member Prince to
adopt the Minutes from April 13, 2023 Oversight Committee Meeting. Motion
was approved with Committee Members Perez-Andreesen and Madland
absent.
4. DEFERRED BUSINESS

5. NEW BUSINESS
a. Fiscal Year 2023-24 Public Safety and Vital Services Measure Proposed
Budget.
Staff recommends Committee determine that proposals are consistent
with the spending priorities of the ballot Measure and as such make a
recommendation to the City Council.
Fire Chief Frando made staff comments and provided a PowerPoint
presentation transmitting Fire Department requests.
Development Services Director Boyle made staff comments and provided a
PowerPoint presentation transmitting Development Services Department
requests.
Chair Ortiz called for a brief recess at 1 1:50 am. Meeting was reconvened at
12:08pm
Recreation and Parks Director Anthony made staff comments and provided
a PowerPoint presentation transmitting Recreation and Parks Department
requests.
Assistant Economic Development Director Byers made staff comments and
provided a PowerPoint presentation transmitting Economic Development
Department requests.
b. ADJOURNMENT
Meeting was adjourned at 1:08 p.m.
