NEPOTISM WAIVER REQUEST FOR POLICE SERGEANT (PROMOTIONAL), EXAMINATION #02017 CANDIDATE(S) After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Burrow to approve staff recommendation and approve the Nepotism Wavier for Isaac Aleman, Carlos Arvizu, Kameron Bailey, Paul Hernandez, and Cathy Schlosser (P) Examination #02017. APPROVED, ALL AYES NEW JOB SPECIFICATION: PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND COMMUNICATION MANAGER - POLICE #89325 After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Burrow to approve staff recommendation and approve the New Job Specification: Public Affairs and Communication Manager -Police #89325. APPOINTMENT OF HEARING OFFICER AND SELECTION OF DATES FOR POTENTIAL PERSONNEL APPEAL HEARING After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Burrow to approve staff recommendation and appoint Judge Gary Friedman as the Hearing Officer and set the Hearing for August 19-23, 2024 from 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. APPROVED, ALL AYES 7. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS Commissioner Anderson inquired with Police Staff, if there was an increase in accidents in the Community due to inclement weather. 8. The position is distinguished from the Support Services Division Administrator as the latter holds responsibility for the entire division where the Support Services Program Manager is assigned specific unit management.
