fire linits of.the City of B~ersfie!d.
T~ BO~ OF TRUSTEES of the City of B~ersfield do
ordain as follows, to-wit:
Section !. Ail supply t~ks containing oil ~d used for fuel .'. ·
purposes within the fire limits Of the City of B~ersfie!d
must be situated so that the upper casi~ ~d cover of the
said ~e! oil t~ shall be situated at least fifteen inches
below the offici~ ~a~e of ~ s~reetor ~.].~ w~ or lot with-
in the Said fi~e lir~its of the said City of ~ersfield ~d the'
s~e shall be covered with at least fz, teen inches of good dirt.
Section 2. In connection with sa~d supply ?~ a~avity
of the capacity of not more th~ four barrels~wi~,h ~ iron ·
cover, m~ be maintained. ~ovided said gravity t~k shall have
w~ m supply t~k which pipe shall be so arr~ed
that it m~ be opened ~d the oil ~ back into the supply t~k.
~d it shall be the duty of the owner or owners or persons in
oh~ge of the property wherein the ~ai~l t~ is situated, in case
of fire or ~ alan of fire in the block in which the t~k is
situated, im~ediate!y to open the eonueetion between said ~avity
tm~ ~d the s~:Pply t~ so that the oil shall ~ back into the
said supply or storage t~.
Section ~. ~y violation of the provisions of tbs ordinate
shall"be punished as a misdeme~6r' ~d is p~ishab!e by a ~fine. '
not exceeding ~e Hundred Do!!m-s'nor le~s th~ t~enty Dol!~s
