THE EAST SIDE~ OF CHESTER AVENUE IN SAID CITY FROM THE SO~;TH LINE
OF SIXTEEN. TH STREETM TO THE NOETH LINE OF FIFTEENTH STR?,ET8.
The Board. of Trustees of the OJ. ty of Ba~ersfield do ordain as
foil ows:
SECTION ONE,
The Board of Trustees of the City of Ba.~'ersfield hereby
grants to The Kern Island Irrigating Canal Company, a eo~-,poration,
............ duly .~org~nized and exist.lng under the 3;aws Qf_ _t]3e St_ate.. of Call- _.
fornia, and havin~ its c-?flee ~nd principal place of bu.~iness in
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, and
to its successors and assign~ forewer a francl;ise, right of way,
and pti-liege to construct, use, and maintain along the east line
of Chester AveNue in sai~l City its ditch kno:..,n as the Town Ditch,
said right of way or ..e~..aneh.l.~. being ~'.]ore particularlF described

fee% west of the llorthwest corner of lot fibre (5) in Block three
