assessment of Property in the City of Bakersfield, and the collection.
of Taxes therein. "'

~ection 1 .... 8~ection 51 is hereby.amended so as to .read:
"Section 5~2--.Withi'n ten days-, after the receip~ of 'the assessment '0ook,
the treasurer .mus.t publish a notice specifying:
'1, That taxers. Will be. deIinquent on the last Monday in November next
thereaft'er~ at.. six o"clock F. M~, and that unless paid: prior thereto,
five per cent will. be added to the amount thereof.
.~. The time anG place at'.which payment of taxes m~y be made'.
Secti~m ~'--Z-z-- Siection 58 is hereby amended so as to read:
'section .~8-~ .On the last Monday in November of each year at six
cl'ock'P..~,i.: all unpaid.taxes are~ delinquent,j a~.d .thereafter .t.he trea-
surer must Collect for the use of the city an additional five'per cent.
Section S" ---Section §~' is hereby m~ended so as to read,
Section 59J~ On the third MOnday in December of each year, the treasurer
must 'attend. at .the office of the clerk with the assessment book and
carefully compare the delinquent list with the original assessment book
and every item marked" paid"' in the former' must be marked "Faid" in
the latter.
Section 4--' ..... -T.his ordinance shall be in full force~o and effect from
and after its passage and due publication as required by 'law.
