streets, avenues and alleys in the 0i'ty of Bakersfield.
~he Board of Trustees of the City of Bakersfield,
do ordain as follows:-
Sec. 1. ~he figures as shown ni~ ~re~ on that
certain grade sheet ~o. 4, and adopted as an official, grade
sheet of the 0ity of Bakersfield, by the Board of ~rustees
of sai~ Oity on the second day of October, 1911, and as
set forth herein, in t~e oolum~mar~ed "Grade" are elevations
in feet and hundredths of fee~ and represent the elevation
of the top of t~e cttrb above the ~atum plane as establishe~
by Ordinance ~o. 18 of the Oity of Bakersfield, passed the
3rd ~ay of May, 1898, entitle~ "An ordinance establishing
a ~atum plane for the Oity of ~akersfiel~."
Sec. 2. Where but one elevation is givem.' at
intersection of streets, avenues or alleys, it indicates
t~e elevation of the cur~ at each corner-e~-~M~-~m of the
intersection; where an elevation is given for each
si~e of the ihtersections of streets, avenues or alleys,
it indicates the elevation of the curb at each corner of the
corresponding side' of t~e intersection.
Sec. S. Ourb grades for all points bet~e'en those
hereinafter fixed shall be in a straight line Joining adjacen~
grades as hereinafter fixed.
Sec. 4. ~he following are the streets, avenues and

Sec. 5. Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Sec. 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty days from and after its passage and due
