AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING TEE OFFICIAL GRADE OF A
PORTION OF SUMNER STREET, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as
follows:
SECTION 1. The official curb grade of Sumner Street, Two
Hundred (£00) feet west of the wesSerly line of Sacramento Street,
in said City, shall be One Hundred Eleven and 80/100 (lll.80) feet
above the dat~u~ plane, as established by Ordinance No. 18, of the
City of Bakersfield, passed the Third day of 1~ay, 1898, entitled
"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A DATUM PLANE FOR THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD':
SECTION 2. The curb grade at the intersection of the south-
erly line of Sumner Street, and the easterly line of Union Avenue,
shall be One Eundred Eleven and 20/100 (lll.20) feet above said datum
plane.
SECTION 3. The curb grade at the intersection of the north-
erly line of Sumner Street snd the easterly line of Union Avenue
shall be One Hundred Eleven and 40/100 (lll.40) feet above said datum
plane.
SECTION 4. The curb grade for all points between those here-
inabove fixed, shall be in a straight line between adjoining grades,
as heretofore fixed by an ordinance of the City of Bakersfield.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days from and after its approval.
I hereby certify, that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the 15th
day of November, 1916, by the following vote:

NAYS: None ~ ~
