AN ORDII~ANCE A~JENDING SECTION 2, OF ORDINANCE
NO. 59 OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, ENTITLED: "REG-
ULATING THE PLU~BING ~TD DRAINAGE OF BUILDINGS AND
POR TPIE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC BEALTH, AND PRO-
VIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION TKEREOF", AND REPEAL-
ING SECTION 13, OF SAID ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TITS CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance I~o. 59, entitled: "REGULAT-
ING TPKE PLD]~BING AND DRAINAGE OF BUILDINGS AND FOR THE PROTECTION
OF THE. PUBLIC HEALTH, AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR VIOL%~TION ' ~ ,,
IHER~3OF,
shall be, and the same is hereby ~nended to resd as follows:
SECTION 2. No plumber shall do any plumber's work in
any building or addition heree.fter erected or moved in said City
until he has first received a permit to do so. To obtain said
permit, plar.~s and specifications correctly describing in detail
work to be done, shall be filed in the office of the Inspector of
Plumbing and Drainage of said City.
Whereupon if such plans snd specifications are in accord-
- ance with the Ordinance of this City and rules of the Board of
Health, the said Inspector of Plumbing snd Drainage shall issue
the said permit. If the said plans snd specifications do not con-
form to the official requirements they shall be returned to the
applicant by the Inspector of Plumbing snd Drainage, together with
his objectians thereto.
SECTION 2. That Section 13 of said Ordinsnce No. 5~ be, and the
same is hereby repealed.
