AN ORDINANCE ~ENDING SECTION 29 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 179, ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TH~: CON-
STRUCTION, EK~CTION, REPAIR, ALTERATION, REMOVAL,
DEMOLITION, CONDEk~IATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT 0RDAII~ED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIE~,
AS FOLLOV~S:
SECTION 1. That Section 29 of Ordinance No. 179 entitled, "AN ORDI-
NANCE REGULATING THE CONSTRUCTION, ERECTION, REPAIR, ALT'~RATION,
REI2OVAL, DEI~IOLITION, CONDEi~iNATION A~D USE OF BUILDINGS IN THE CITY

SECTION 29. The applicant or applicants for such
building pe'~nit shall pay to the Department of Building for ex-
pense of such inspection and examination of the building and plans
and specifications (other than plumbing or wiring) the sum of Two
($2.00) dollars, if the estimated cost of said building, structure,
alteration or improvement shall be more than Sixty ($60.00) dollarm
and less than One thousand ($1,000.00) dolls~rs ~nd the sum of
Seven ($?.00) dollars and fifty (50) cents if the estimated cost
is One thousand ($1,000.00) dollars or more, and less than Two
thousand (~!2,000.00) dollars; the sum of Ten ($10.00) dollars if
the estimated cost is Two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars or more
and less t~.n Five thousand ($5000) dollars; the mna of Seventeen
dollars and fifty cents ($17.50), if the estimated cost is Five
thousand (155000) dollars or more and less than Ten thousand
($10,000) dollars; the sum of Twenty-five ($25) dollars if the es-
timated cost is Ten thousand ($10,000) dollars or more and less
than Fifteen thousand ($15,000) dollars; the sum of Thirty ($30)
dollars if the extimated cost is Fifteen thousand ($15,000) dollars

or more and less than Twenty_ thousand ($20,000) dollars; the sum
of Forty ($40) dollars if the eatimated cost is Twenty thousand
($20,000) dollars or more and less thsm Twenty-five thousand
($25,000) dollars; and the sum of Two ($2.00) dollars additional
for every Five thousand ($5000.00) dollars or fraction thereof
in excess of Twenty-five thousand ($25,000) dollars.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinsnce was passed
by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the ~_o~.. day of
