AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY PERSON UPON A
BICYCLE OR ROLLER SKATES TO TAKE HOLD OF, HAND ON TO
OR BE PROPELLED BY ANY STREET CAR, AUTONOBILE OR OTHER
VEHICLE, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COL~.~.~CIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECT I 0i~: 1.
It shall be unlawful for any person while riding
on a bicycle, or on roller skates, to take hold of, hang on to,
or be propelled by any street car, automoble, motor or other
vehicle.
SECTION 2.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall be punished by a fine not' exceeding the sum of
Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or by imprisonment in the County Jail for
a term '~ot exceeding ten (10) days or by both such fine and
impri s onment.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed by
the Council of the C~ty of Bakersfield on the ~th day of June, 191?,
by the following vote:
