AN 0RDIN/~ICE CHANGING AND P~-ESTABLISHING
THE OFFICIAL CUrB GR.~DE OF SU~ER STREET AT ITS
INTERSECTION WITH BEALE AVENUE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as
follows:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did, on the
26th day of November, 1917, by Resolution of Intention No. 342, declare
its intention 'to change and re-establish the. official cnrb grade of
Sumner Street at its intersection with Beale Avenue from 109.40 above
the datnm plane for the grades of the City of Bakersfield, as fixed by
Ordinance No. 18 of said City of Bakersfield, to 109.00 feet above said
datum plane; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid Resolution directed the Clerk of the
Council to pnblish in the l~orning Echo for two successive insertions in
said newspaper and to post the ssme for two days, consecutively, on or
near the Chamber door of said Council; and
WHEP~'JAS, said Resolution of Intention was so published and
posted for two days describing the proposed change of grade; and.
WHEP~AS, no protests were filed against said change of grade;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordered that the grade of Sumner
Street at its intersection with Beale Avenue is hereby changed to and
established f:,~om 109.40 re,et above the datum plane for the grades of
the City of Bakersfield, as fixed by Ordinance No. 18 of said City,
to 109.00 feet above said datnm plane.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City Bakersfield, on the ?th day
of January, 1918, by the following vote'
