AN ORDINANCE P~EGULATING THE KEEPING OF
CHICKENS~, DUCKS, G~,o.~.~ PIGEONS AND OTHER
FOWLS WI PHIN THE CITY ~)F B~ERS~IELD. AND PPE-
SCRIBING A PENAI~TY FOR THE ~IOLATION'HEt{EOF.~
BY IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as
follows'
SECTION 1. It shall be mUlawfnl for any person to keep or have ander
their care, .c~stody or control, either as owner or otherwise, any
chickens, dnsks, geese, pigeons, or poultry or fowls of any kind what-
soever, within the City of Bakersfield, muless same are kept secnrely
enclosed:' in a yard or pen at all times.
SECTION 2. Every breach of this OrdinanCe or any of its terms, provis-
ions or reqn:[rements, shall separately or for each day of its con-
tinuance be deemed to be, and shall be a separate breach thereof.
SECTION ~. .Any person failing to perform stay of the duties prescribed
by this Ordinance or violating any of the provisions hereof, shall
be g~ilty of a mi sdemesnor and punishable therefor by a fine not to
exceed Twenty-five Dollars ($2~.00).
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed by the
Comucil of the City of Bakersfield, on the llth day of March, 1918, by
