AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE OFFICIAL
GRADE OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as
foilows:
SECTION 1. The figures in the col~nn marked "GRADE" are elevation in
feet and h~.dredths of a foot above the datum plane as established
by an ordinsnce of the ss,id City of Bakersfield, entitled. "AN OR-
DINANCE ESTabLISHING A DAT~ PL_iNE FOR THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD",
which said ordinance is numbered 18, and said figures represent the
elevation of the top of the curbs.
SECTION 2. Where but one elevation is given, at an intersection of
streets, .it indicates the elevation of the curb at each corner of
such intersection, and where but one elevation is given at an inter-
section of a street with a given line, it indicates the elevation of
the curb on either side of the street at its intersection with such
'line.
SECTION 3. The curb grades for all points between those hereinafter fixed
shall be in the straight line joining the adjacent grades, as here-
inafter fixed.
SECTION 4. The following are the streets upon which the grade is hereby
fixed:
GRADE.
Sumner Street at the southeast corner of the intersection
of said Sumner Street ~nd 'Haley Street ........... 10~.80
Sumner Street at its. intersection with East Truxtun
Ay enue... ........................................ 104 .'00
East Truxt~m Avenue, 800 feet east of the intersection of
its center line and the center line of Sumner ~0

The north and south curb lines of East Truxtun Avenue at
their intersection with the lcKittrick Branch
of the Couthern Pacific Railroad ................. 108.80

East Truxtma Avenue 1130 feet east of the intersection
of its center line and the center line of Sumner
