OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. ENTITLED: "AN OI~-
DINANCE REGULATING THE BUSINESS OF PAWN BROKERS,
SECONDHAND DEALERS, JUNK DEALERS AND JUNK COL-
LECTORS. AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 176 AND
ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH", BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. BAKERSFIELD, as
follows:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 340 of the City of Bakersfield, entitled:
"AN 0RDIN~U~TCE REGULATING THE BUSINESS OF PAWN BROKERS, SECONDHAND
DEALERS, Jbl[K DEALERS AND JUNK COLLECTORS, AN, D REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 176 AND 'ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
'WITH" be and the marne is hereby amended by adding thereto, a new
Section to be known as Section 151~, to read as follows:
SECTION l~. Whenever any person, firm or corporation
carries on, conducts, maintains or engages in. any business for
which a permit is not required as provided for in this Ordinance,
and. said business is carried on, conducted and maintained in the
same room or place with any business coming under the provisions
of this Ordinance, each and all of said businesses shall, for the
purpose of tlhis Ordinance, come under the same requirements, re-
strictions m.~d regulations as the business for which said permit
i s granted.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed by
the Council ,of the City of Bakersfield, on the 29th day of April,
1918, b'y the following vote:
