AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING THE OFFICES
OF DEPUTY CITY AUDITOR AND DEPUTY CITY CLERK, IN AND FOR
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. . .~
WHEREAS, the daily operation of municipal depart~ r~quire
the enactment of an Ordinance creating and. establishing the offices
of Deputy City Auditor and Deputy City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the absence and illness of the present incumbrent
'of the offices of City Auditor and City Clerk, demand said Ordinance
be passed as an emergency measure;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
SECTION' 1.
That the offices of Deputy City Auditor and
Deputy City Clerk, be and the same are hereby created and established.
"' SECTIOBI 2.
That said Deputy City Auditor and said DePuty City
Clerk, shat:lclzve.-~.a~d possess the same powers as their respective
principals, and in the absence or inability of said principals to per-
form the duties of said offices, the said. Deputies shall have full
power and authority to do and perform all ~cts which said offices
may require.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
by the ~ounci]L of the City of Bakersfield, this 31st day of Oc.$ober,
1918, by the :following vote'
