BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows' SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of eighteen (1.8) years to enter, remain in or visit any public bowling alley within the City of Bakersfield, except said minor be and the same is regularly employed in necessary work therein. SECTION 2. It. shall be ~nlawfnl for any person, firm or corpora- tion, either as owner, agent or otherwise, keeping, operating or conducting any p~blic bowling alley, to have, s~ffer or per- mit any minor under the age of eighteen (18) years to enter, ren~Jin in or visit in such public bowling alley, provided., how- ever, that this Ordinance shall not apply to any such minor regularly employed at necessary work therein. SECTION 3. .A copy of this Ordinance shall be posted, in at least two (2) conspic~ous places in every public bowling alley in the City of Bakersfield. SECTION 4. The violation of any of the provisions of'this 0rdi- nance is hereby declared, to be a misdemeanor and shall be punish- able by a fine not exceeding Three Hundred Dollars ($300,00), or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed ' 1 by. the Comucil of the City of Bakersfield on the 19th day of A~gust, 1918, by the following vote.
