AN ORDINANCE CHANGING AND RE-ESTABLISHING THE OFFICIAL
CURB GRADES IN FLOVfEB STREET, A~ ITS INTERSECTION WITH KEP~N
STREET, IN ~ ~

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows'

~:t~EREAS~, the Coo. nci! of the ~ity of Bakersfield did,
on the' 24th day of Marc~, 1919,'by Resolution of. Intention No. 3~2,
declare its intention to change and re-establish the official curb
grade in Flower Street, at the northwest corner of its intersection
with Kern Street, from 1~2 feet above the datum plane for the grade
of the City of Bakersfield, as fixed by Ordinance No. 18, of said City,
to 1~1 feet above said datum plane; also,
To change and. re-establish the official curb grade in
Flower Street at the southwest corner, of its intersection with Kern
Street, from 1%1 feet above said datum plane to 1%0 feet above said'
dathm plane; and
W.h~REAS, the aforesaid Resolution directed the Clerk of
the Council to publish said Resolution of Intention No. 3~2, in the
~I orning Echo, for two successive insertions in said newspaper, and to
post the same for two days.; consecutively, on or near the Chamber door
of said Council; and
~.'~EREAS, said. Resolution of Intention was so published and
posted for two days describing the proposed changed of grade; and
WHEREAS, ~H~ Street Superintendent duly .published and
posted Notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention 3~2, in
the manner, fon.~',?' and time as required by law; and.
'~gHEREAS, no protests were filed against said change of
grad e;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordered tha~ the grade of
Flower Street at the northwest corner of its intersection with Kern
Street be and tlhe same is hereby changed to and established from
1~2 feet above the datum planes for the grades of the City of Bake.rs-
field, as fixed by said Ordinance No. 18, of said. City, to 1~1 feet '
above said datum plane; and,
IT IS FUP, T~[ER ordered that ~he grade in Flower Street at the
southwest corner of its intersection with Kern Street, is hereby
changed to and established from 1~! feet above said datum plane 'for
the grades of the City of Bakersfield, to 1%0 feet above said datum
p! ane.
I~hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the ~th day of
ABSENT' ~
