AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE EAST SIDE CANAL,
AS THE SA~,AE IS CONSTRUCTED AND }~I~[fAINED IN AND
THROUGH THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD, TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
AS' FOLLOWS'
SECTION 1.
That that certain canal and water ditch, known and d. esig-
nated as the "EAST SIDE CANAL", funnier; in, through, along and across
the public streets of the City of Bakersfield, particularly Union
Avenue and Lake Street, and. the intersections to said streets, as
said canal and water ditch is now constructed and maintained, is, and
the ssm~e' is hereby declared to be a public nuisance.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed.
