all'ow the removal of buildings and other structures from one
portion of the City to another..
The Board of ~stees of the City of Bakersfield, do or,in
aB follows: .~
Section 1 .... Whenever any person wishes to remove any build'
in~; or other s~ucbure from one plave i.n the Cl~y ~o 'anchOr,
over any street bhereof, above which telegraph, telephone,
trolley or other electric wires ~ suspended, ~d ~Uch wires
allow the passage of such building or o~er s~oture across
such street,~d whenever it shall be necess~y to remove ahy
of the poles from which such wires are suspended.?or to remove ~..
or cut any guy or anchor wires or-anoho~ posts, to allow the
passage of such buildiztg or other s~oture across said street/
such person shall give reasonable notice to the person or man-
aging agent of the person controlling and operating such wires
poles or posts of his desire to have such wires cut, or such
poles 'o~.'~posts removed so as to permit the pass~ge of such
''' ~uilding. or other s~ucture, across such ~eet, and shall
deposit with su'ch person or' managing agent such sum not
ceeding t~enty five dollars, as such person or m~aging ~gent
shall estimate to be necesaary to pay for ~he expense and.

ating such wires, shall fix and designate a reasonable time
when he will cut such wires and rel~ove such poles or posts
and allow the passage of such building or other structure
across such street, and at the time so fixed and designated he
shall cut such wires an~. remove such po'les and posts so as
to al~low the passage of such bu~ding or other structure ,
across such s'bree~, an,'~, such person desiring to remove such
bui:lding or other structure, shmll at the time so fixed and
designated, remove such building or other structure across said
street expeditiously, so ms to occasion the least del~y and
inconvenience in 'the use of sU6H wires.,~
Section 2..-- .The pets'on controlling and operating such wires
shall be enbit~le~i to .o~naent from 'the person removing such
building or other structure, of the expense an.l damage incident
to th.e cutting of said wires and removing such poles and
· ~ ' '~ · " - ei~-T-ommer condition after the
passage of such building or other structure across such street;
and if such expense and damage shall be of greater amount than
the deposit made as aforesaid, the person removing such
building oz' other structure, shall pay to the Derson controlling
and operating such wires, such additional e~:pense and damage;
and if such expense and d~aage shall be of less amount than
the deposit made as aforesaid, 'the person controlling and
operating such wires shall return to the person ~emoving
said building or other structure, 'the balance of such deposit
remaini~g' au~ber paying the expense a~d d~,~age in~dent to
~ cutting said wires, ~d removing such poles ~ld posts~and
restoring the s~ae to their former condition."
Section 3..'-- ~.lo person engaged in moving buildings or other
structures from one part of' the City to another; shall cu't or
otherwise interfere with mny te'leg~aph., telephone, trolley or
'other electric wires for the transmission of power, or the
poles, guys or ,~uchor wires or anchor posts thereofl, in sa.id ..
City; and any violat~ion of 'th'is provision i's .hereb:y deOI'~i~ed
to be a misdemeanor.
Section '4.-- .This oral. in,ice shall take effect from and after
its passage and publication as required by law.
